SC, Vice President for Marketing and Communications
for Outward Bound USA National Headquarters in
Garrison, NY (for 20 years).
In 1998, I left

After contracting
COVID in early 2020, and subsequently dealing with
other health setbacks, I retired from event
photography in 2022. I still enjoy photographing
birds and nature.
Kay earned her
Ph.D in Social Work in 2014 and is an Associate
Vice President for St. John's Riverside Hospital in
Yonkers NY. She plans to join me in retirement
soon. In 2023, we bought a cabin on Green Lake,
Maine where we look forward to enjoying lots of fun
time, hiking, biking, kayaking and
traveling.

NEW YORK
Since 2008, the
big news is that Wendy, a former professional
dancer who grew up in England, and I were married
in September, 2009. We went down to City Hall with
a few close friends to tie the knot and had a small
reception at Columbias Faculty House on a
snowy night a few months later. Do not have any 8
year old kids, but do have a delightful
stepdaughter who teaches ballet to adults in
Providence. The other update is that, after 33
years of living in Chelsea, I moved to Wendys
apartment on the Upper West Side overlooking the
Hudson River. Even though it is only 4 miles north,
the neighborhood feels quite different.
Am still working
as a lawyer at Columbia Universityin my 26th
year. Dont think that I will ever match Mike
Solomons tenure at CUNYs Office of the
General Counsel, but do expect to be working for at
least another 2 years. A couple of years ago, we
completed the acquisition of all the property to
build Columbias new campus in Manhattanville.
We had to buy 50 individual parcels from almost as
many different property owners. Three academic
buildings are up and running and many more are
planned for this 17-acre campus from 125 Street to
132 Street and from Broadway to 12th Avenue. I also
head the legal work for the clinical trials group
at the University and Hospital and was a co-author
of a paper published by the Association of American
Medical Schools about contractual provisions in
clinical trial agreements. The paper is not a best
seller.
Am healthy and
still play tennis, run, and swiman indoor
track and swimming pool are one minute away from my
office. Would very much like to see HOB members
more often-- certainly those who live in the New
York area. A few years ago, Dave Vogel gave a
lecture at Columbia, which I attended, and we had a
great time catching up. Looking forward to getting
together with old friends.
