AUGUSTA, GA

My wife and Meredith and I have been married for 41 years and we live in Augusta, Georgia. We have one son, Jordan who lives in Portland, Oregon.

After graduating from QC, I was actually able to use my major, Mass Communications, to get a job in television in Florida. I spent many years as a News Director working in West Palm Beach, Lexington and Cleveland. I am currently the President/General Manager of the CBS. NBC and CW TVs station in Augusta. We've been here for 21 years and love it. We spend most of our weekends living on our houseboat on a lake near Augusta.

Ironically enough a few months ago I was at an NBC meeting in NY and bumped into Alan Wurtzel, the VP of research for NBC. Small world….he was my “Introduction to Broadcasting” teacher at QC.

We do a lot of traveling and plan to continue that when we retire.

UPDATE! UPDATE! I will be retiring at the end of Feb. 2017, and as I mentioned above we will continue to travel. We have our first post-retirement trip to England, Scotland, Ireland and France scheduled for May.

AUBURNDALE, FL

After teaching a short while in Queens in 1968, I moved to Boston to study the clarinet. Realizing the likelihood of becoming a struggling musician, I went back to school to become an RN for job security; the plan worked. I worked as a health care facility regulator for the state/federal governments for 20 years and was the program manager for the home health agency program in Georgia until I retired in 2007.

After years of playing in concert bands, I got in to the Dekalb Symphony Orchestra where I'm currently completing my fourth season playing second clarinet.
