COLORADO

After QC graduation in '72, I went to Milwaukee for med school, Oakland for internship, & Denver for residency in ENT. It was there I fell in love with the mountains, but it would take me 23 years to come back to live. During most of the interim I lived in Baltimore; my ex is still there. I am now retired after 35 years of practice. On the other hand, I am happy to have been able to obtain a condo at Keystone in 2005-realization of a long-held dream. Being retired, I'm much more able to enjoy it, and going up mid-week allows me much more skiing and much less traffic to deal with. I take guitar lessons every week, ski, bike & play ice hockey as often as possible! I'm also a "big seller" on eBay, mostly of cameras and lenses.

I have 3 kids-Andrea 34, an artist in OR; Mark 32, now married and working for himself as a consultant, after working for Tesla production in CA for 3 years; & Carla 29, working in psychology administration in PA.

I remarried in 2009, and got divorced in 2012. I believe in the institution of marriage, but have to admit to having made costly mistakes in judgement. It's unlikely I'll walk down that aisle again.

I have many memories of the HOB, too many to go into here. But I was sort of the unofficial house photographer.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to say "Thank You" to all the guys who helped keep the house "archives" for the really tough courses-especially comparative anatomy. We had notebooks in multiple colors that went back at least 4-5 years. They made studying a LOT easier, & who knows? Without them I might have done much worse than the "A" I got, & then might not have gotten into med school. That would have been a very big deal, since that little thing called Vietnam was going on, & my number was 56. So it's possible that the HOB saved my life!

I was there when they tore down the HOB to make way for a crappy apartment building that still stands on the site in Flushing. I am happy to report however that the Knighthouse next door went first!

Thanks to Richie for putting this all together!

QUEENS, NY

I retired ten years ago after a forty year career in advertising. I used to run into John Ray occasionally who was also in that business.

We have been living on Long Island for the past 46 years. We have just sold our house and are moving back to Queens.

Joe Stansky and I stayed in touch after QC. We speak frequently and share milestone family events. 2025 will be a milestone year for me and my family. Michele (One Way Inn) and I will be married for 50 years, I will be turning 75, my son will be 40 and my son-in-law will be 45.

My two children have four grandkids ages 3-10 and I consider myself very fortunate.

So sad to see the passing of so many HOB members. I have a lot of fond memories from those days including Follies, Frolics, The Caf and one particular HOB rush ad that was in the CHP newspaper Castle that said, House of Bamboo is not a Chinese restaurant.

For the record, I was President after Cliff Wilpon but before Glenn Seidman, the last president of Bamboo. I was also Wilpon’s first treasurer and did a brief stint as social director before being called to basic training for the US Army Reserves, which delayed my graduation one semester. Regards to all.

Formerly, “Young Mike” Weiden

MARYLAND

The picture above is of my wife, Robin, my son, Seth and his wife Lora, me, and my daughter Rachel. The picture was taken at the wedding of Seth and Lora in July, 2005.

After graduation from Queens College, I attended law school at the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University of American in Washington, D.C.

I am currently a partner in the law firm of Ferguson & Wilpon, located in Olney, Maryland, where I both live and work. Robin works at a private school as an assistant teacher & bookkeeper.
Seth is the manager of Mamma Lucia Restaurant, which is part of a chain in the Maryland suburbs. His wife, Lora is a public school teacher and they are expecting their first child in the fall.

My daughter Rachel just graduated from Towson University with a degree in Electronic Media and Film, and is currently working at DC 101, a local radio station in the Washington D.C. area, part time, as an assistant Music Producer, as well as doing freelance video production and editing
