BELLINGHAM, WA

My wife (Priscilla) and I live in Bellingham Washington, a city of about 93,000 people on the coast of Washington State. It's a beautiful location only about 20 miles from the Canadian border, 50 miles from Vancouver British Columbia. It's the home of Western Washington University. We enjoy an active social life; there are lectures to attend; the Bellingham Music Festival is a joy if you like classical music; I paint, exercise daily; read as much as time allows; travel (next month we're going to Bermuda, Portugal, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands). We've been to too many places to describe in a short synopsis.

I left New York City when I graduated from Queens College. In 1968 Uncle Sam was going to draft me so I enlisted instead. I played trombone in the army band at Fort Monmouth New Jersey. It was safer and more enjoyable than being in the infantry during the Vietnam era.

Afterwards, I completed a Masters Degree at Rutgers University in City and Regional Planning.

I lived and worked various places including Boston, Albany New York, Pittsburgh PA, Atlanta GA, Los Angeles, Walnut Creek CA and Scottsdale AZ.

While in Atlanta I completed work on a second Masters Degree in Governmental Administration.

We just celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. No children. After working for The U.S. Department of Housing Development for 27 years we retired in 2005. We were living in Scottsdale Arizona prior to the move to Bellingham.

NEW YORK

As I approach my 75th birthday and look back on the 53 years that have passed since graduating from Queens College in June 1964, I am happy to report that life has been good to me. I have three wonderful children. Elisa is an occupational therapist; David is a senior manager in information technology who works in the Office of the Comptroller of the City of New York; and Jonathan is a student. My former wife died in 2016. I have one grandson—Jonah, who will soon be 13 years old. I live in Manhattan and all of my children are near me.

I graduated from Columbia Law School in 1967. Early in my career, I served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York where I prosecuted some high profile criminal cases. Thereafter, I entered private practice and specialized in white collar criminal defense and tax litigation. I am the co-author of a two volume legal treatise entitled Tax Fraud and Evasion , which is published by Thomson Reuters. I am also an Adjunct Professor at New York Law School, where I teach a seminar in tax litigation. I continue to practice law although I am trying to slow down.

I enjoy the pleasures of Manhattan, especially theater and music. I like to travel. This summer I visited Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, as well as Michigan, Maine and Massachusetts. I also love salmon and halibut fishing in Northern British Columbia. I am grateful for the many blessings that I have received.

I wish all the House of Bamboo alumni good health and good fortune.

BOCA RATON, FL

I am still living In beautiful Boca Raton. Unfortunately Stacy has been in a nursing home for 12 years due the ravages of Multiple Sclerosis. She continues to fight on.

I am retired and loving it. 9 years ago I met Julie, a widow who attended Brooklyn College. We both attended the last reunion and caught up with everyone.

Living here in South Florida we get to see Bamboo brothers and their spouses.Gary and Ada Marcus

I have become addicted to cruises and go on them a few times a year.
